The service

FormRail is a Voltenworks API for inspecting, validating and filling supported PDF forms. You must have permission to submit and modify each document. Keep your API keys private. Do not use the service to distribute malicious files, abuse resources or violate another person’s rights.

Compatibility and review

Use the free inspection and validation endpoints to check compatibility. FormRail supports a bounded set of AcroForm fields. It does not support XFA, scans, encryption, signatures or arbitrary document layout editing. Output uses the supported appearance font and may differ from the original field typography. You are responsible for reviewing completed documents before using or sending them. The service does not certify their legal validity or suitability.

Credits and subscriptions

New accounts receive 25 trial fills once. A prepaid pack costs $9 for 500 fills. The monthly plan costs $19 for 2,000 fills per paid billing period and renews automatically until canceled. One successful fill uses one credit. Failed fills are refunded to the credit wallet; identical successful retries with the same idempotency key use no additional credits. Inspection and validation use no credits and remain subject to rate limits.

Monthly credits reset at each paid period and do not roll over. Prepaid credits do not expire. Cancel future renewals through your billing portal; current paid-period credits remain available until that period ends. Refund requests are reviewed case by case through support. A card refund does not automatically reconcile already issued credits and may require account review.

Availability and changes

Request, file size and concurrency limits protect service availability. We may restrict abusive use. The API may be temporarily unavailable, and no uptime guarantee is offered for this initial release. Keep your source templates and a retry strategy. Material pricing or service changes will be communicated before applying to future renewals.
